Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-09-25
These terms govern your use of RENTEX, operated by IMAGYNEX LLC, a company registered in Delaware, USA ("we"). By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. The service
- RENTEX is subscription software for managing rentals: properties, units, tenants, e-signed contracts, monthly invoices, receipts, reminders and reports.
- RENTEX is a software tool only. We are not a real-estate broker, owner or agent of any party, and not a party to any lease between owner and tenant.
- We do not give legal, financial or tax advice. No text, template or alert in the platform is advice.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 and legally able to contract for yourself or for the business you represent.
- Your details must be true and complete, and your email valid and under your control.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and two-step verification secure, and for everything done through your account and your team's accounts. Tell us immediately about any unauthorised use.
- The service is available only in the countries offered at sign-up. It may not be used from countries under comprehensive US sanctions, or by persons or entities on sanctions lists. We may close any account found to breach this, without refund.
3. Trial and subscription
- Every account starts with a free 7-day trial for a limited number of units, with no card.
- When it ends, your account stays readable, but you cannot add or change anything until you subscribe to a paid plan.
- Prices are in US dollars, paid through Stripe monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel. Any bank, currency-conversion or local tax charges are yours.
- When you upgrade to a higher plan, or from monthly to yearly, the new plan applies at once. The price difference for the rest of the current period is charged immediately, after the amount is shown to you for approval. If the charge fails, your previous plan stays as it is.
- When you move to a lower plan, or from yearly to monthly, you keep your current plan with all its features until the end of the paid period, and the change then applies automatically. Nothing is refunded or credited for that period, and you can cancel a scheduled change before it takes effect.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. No change applies to a period you have already paid for.
4. Cancellation, refunds and chargebacks
- You can cancel any time from the subscription page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and the service stays available to you until then.
- Amounts paid are non-refundable, in whole or in part, including unused periods, except where the law requires otherwise.
- If you dispute any amount, contact us first at the address below; we respond within three business days.
- Opening a dispute with your bank or card company (a chargeback) without contacting us first suspends the account immediately until the dispute is settled. We may give the payment provider records of use and consent, and claim the amounts due and the dispute fees.
5. Rent payments
- RENTEX never receives, holds or transfers rent, whatever the method: the owner's Stripe account, bank transfer, or the owner's own payment link.
- The owner alone is responsible for their payment-provider or bank account, for the accuracy of the bank details and links they show tenants, and for checking each amount has arrived before confirming it.
- Receipts in the platform are issued from the owner's record or confirmation of a payment, or from the payment provider's notice. The owner is responsible for the accuracy of what they record and confirm.
- We do not verify bank transfers or payments made through external links, and accept no liability for mistaken transfers, fraud, delays, disputes or refunds between owner and tenant. These follow the terms of the bank or payment provider and the relationship between the parties.
6. Owner obligations
- Your contracts, their terms and fees, and the way you collect rent must comply with the laws of your country, and you must hold any licence or registration your activity requires there.
- You must obtain your tenants' consent to processing their data for rental purposes, and use their data only for that purpose.
- You are responsible for taxes and charges on your rental income.
- RENTEX's general contract templates are for guidance, and smart import uses AI that can make mistakes. Review every contract before sending it, preferably with a legal adviser.
- "Possible eviction case" alerts are internal indicators only; any legal action is your responsibility under your country's laws.
7. Electronic signature
RENTEX keeps signing evidence: identity, code, time, document fingerprint and timestamp. The evidential weight of e-signatures varies by country, and you are responsible for checking it is accepted for your purpose.
8. Data
You are responsible for the tenant data you enter. We process it on your behalf only to provide the service, under the Privacy Policy. We do not sell data.
9. Acceptable use
You may not:
- carry out any unlawful or fraudulent activity, including creating contracts or receipts that do not reflect real dealings, or impersonating any person or organisation;
- collect money from anyone in a misleading way, or use bank details or payment links that are not yours;
- harass or defame tenants, use their data for anything other than the rental, or send spam;
- try to breach, disrupt or probe the platform without written permission, reverse-engineer it, scrape it, or resell or rent it to others;
- share one account between different businesses.
On a breach we may suspend or close the account immediately, without prior notice and without any refund, and report suspected unlawful activity to the authorities.
10. Availability and disclaimer
We work to keep the service available, with regular backups, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without any express or implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or of being error-free or uninterrupted. We may develop, change or discontinue features.
11. Limitation of liability and indemnity
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or rent, or loss of data or reputation.
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IMAGYNEX LLC and its officers against any claim or loss arising from your contracts, your dealings with your tenants, your data, or your breach of these terms or the law.
12. Suspension and termination
You may ask us to close your account at any time. We keep signed contracts and audit records as long as the law or the protection of the parties requires, then delete them. We may end the service for any account with 30 days' notice, refunding the unused paid period unless the termination is for a breach.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, whose courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Disputes are brought individually, not as part of a class action, to the extent the law allows.
14. Changes
We may change these terms and will tell you about material changes by email or in the platform before they take effect. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept them.
